BTL Welcomes 24 NEW Scholarship Recipients to the Scholarship Family for 2011
|
Over the past twenty years, BTL has invested more than $1 million dollars in the education of over four hundred Belizean youths countrywide. This year, we are proud to award twenty one (21) high school scholarships and three (3) tertiary level scholarships under the BTL Scholarship Program.
BTL's Scholarship Program is aimed at academically nurturing and supporting our young students and citizens. Successful applicants have the opportunity to complete their four-year secondary education at the high school of their choice. Scholarship recipients are selected based on their academic performance, financial need and potential to excel.
These 24 deserving students will be honored on Wednesday, August 17th, 2011 at a special reception ceremony to be held at the Chateau Caribbean. The agenda will include a special Guest Speaker from the Ministry of Education. Mr. Nestor Vasquez, Chairman of the Board will deliver a message on behalf of the company, after which the scholarship recipients will receive special certificates welcoming them into BTL's scholarship family. We are pleased to officially recognize the academic achievements of these exceptional students.
In June 2011, 20 BTL Scholarship recipients from various High Schools throughout the country completed their secondary education. These students who took full advantage of the opportunity given to them are now preparing to further their education at tertiary level educational institutions nationwide.
This year, BTL will give 3 High School Graduates from the BTL Scholarship Family, tertiary level scholarships. These students performed exceptionally well and are a great example of the importance and the successes of the pursuit of education.
We take this opportunity to wish this year's scholarship recipients the very best in this new chapter in their lives as they forge forward in their quest to fulfill their goals and dreams. We are certain that there will be many challenges ahead, but reminding each recipient that through hard work, perseverance and dedication, everything is possible. Keep aiming for the stars!
