BTL Launches New 3G CDMA Wireless Network

Tuesday, August 31st 2010 Belize Telemedia Limited is pleased to announce that on September 1st the Company will introduce its new 3G CDMA Wireless Network. This network will provide nationwide wireless telephone and High Speed Internet services to residents living in rural communities who previously did not have access to these services.
With this new network, customers in these areas will now be able to have access to HomeFone or BizFone Services, High Speed Internet and SMS via their fixed CDMA handsets.
The network will be rolled out in phases commencing with villages in the Southern part of the country. Villages to benefit include Silver Creek, Hicatee, Elridge, Mafredi, San Isidoro, Riversdale among many other villages. Residents in other parts of the country are asked to lookout for more Company notices which will inform you of when service will be available in your area.
With the new CDMA/EVDO 450 MHz Network BTL is significantly improving coverage, allowing thousands of additional residents across the country to benefit.
Customers who want to switch to this new service will be provided with new telephone equipment and a new number from the approved CDMA Numbering Series. In addition a special telephone recording will be placed on your old number for six months which will alert callers of your new telephone number.
With BTL's 3G CDMA Wireless Network customers will benefit from:

Access to High Speed Internet and SMS services from your home phone

Within the coming months, the Company will continue to roll out its new CDMA 450 Wireless Network to other parts the country. |
