BTL Board of Directors Appoints Chief Operations Officer

The Board of Directors of Belize Telemedia Limited has announced that Mrs. Karen Bevans has been appointed to act in the position of Chief Operations Officer effective today, Monday, September 28th, 2009.
In this capacity, Mrs. Bevans will report directly to the Executive Committee of the Board and will be responsible for the day to day management of the Company's operations.
Mrs. Bevans holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Psychology. She has been with the Company for over twenty (20) years in various capacities. These include Head of Department for Administration, Human Resources, Sales, Customer services, Purchasing and her most recent role of General Manager for Business Development, International Relations, Marketing, Research and Development, Directory Services and Public Relations.
According to Mrs. Bevans she "looks forward to this new challenge in leading a team of highly skilled and competent employees that is ready and able to move this dynamic company forward". Mrs. Bevans expressed that "BTL has always been at the forefront in technology, quality and service, and those will continue to be the Company's primary focus in attracting, retaining and providing more value to customers".
This is a strategic move for the Company as it positions itself to be even more competitive, innovative and responsive to the needs of customers. |
