BTL Launches Final Phase of its New PrePaid Billing System
Great Benefits for Prepaid Fixed Line Telephone and Prepaid Analogue Cellular Customers
Tuesday October 16th, 2007 - Belize Telemedia Limited today announced that on Wednesday, October 17th, 2007, the Company will implement the final phase of the project to have all Prepaid users benefit from its new, modern, state of the art Prepaid Billing System - "Intelligent Network". BTL's Prepaid Fixed Line Telephone and Prepaid Analogue Cellular customers along with Payphone users will now join DigiCell PrePaid customers who are already enjoying the many benefits of this new billing system.
The Intelligent Network (IN) is a prepaid billing system which provides prepaid customers with more user friendly features, flexible calling plans, great incentives and even more affordable services.
Late last year when phase one of the IN was launched, DigiCell Prepaid customers were able to benefit from this $8 million investment by the Company. BTL is now ready to launch the final phase of this project which will offer all other prepaid users, including those using the public payphones, the benefits of:
•Menu options using the Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) accessed through 135.
•Customer friendly features such as call waiting, call hold, call forwarding and multi-party calling.
•Short codes for immediate access to menu options, such as *10 to recharge a prepaid account
•3 language options – English, Spanish or Mandarin
•Special promotions and rewards
•Bundles and packages that offer significant saving
•Lower International rates – all Prepaid Customers will now be able to enjoy the cheaper after 5 minute rates on international calls introduced last year.
•With the implementation of this final Phase of the IN which will have all BTL prepaid customers using the same state-of-the-art prepaid billing system, comes the introduction of BTL's "One Card" (1 Card) concept. Immediately upon launch, all prepaid customers will be able to use any BTL prepaid card for any BTL prepaid service. This makes it much easier for customers to purchase any prepaid card or e-pin regardless of whether it will be used for DigiCell, Analogue Cellular, Prepaid Fixed Line Telephone or Payphone. As a result, BTL will very shortly be introducing its new 1 CARD to replace the present DigiCell and Regular Prepaid Cards.
•Prepaid Fixed Line Telephone and Analogue Cellular customers now have the opportunity to purchase BTL's new Fone TopUp to recharge or add value directly to their prepaid accounts.
•The number to access calling card service (0-800-BTL-CARD) and Card Linking (0-800-BTL-LINK) have both been changed. The new access number for both services is now 0-800-PRE-PAID (773-7243)
•Any BTL customer with a Post-Paid Billing account will soon be able to sign-up to automatically bill their account for Fone TopUp which will allow prepaid credits to be made directly and automatically to any prepaid account.
BTL remains focused on customer satisfaction, quality of service and technological advancement. With the completion of this new prepaid billing project, all customers using any of BTL's Prepaid Services will now enjoy the same benefits and features that this new "Intelligent Network" has to offer.
